Arctic Circle series STARRY NIGHTS

$1,250.00

Starry Night," the luminous centerpiece of the "Arctic Circle" I have deep connection to the landscape. Born from countless visits to the Arctic Circle, my passion and love for this this sacred space fills me with gratitude with each visit "Starry Night" embodies the essence of their soulful exploration.

With each brushstroke I can visualise the ever-changing seasons from white nights known as the midnight sun when the sun shines for 6 continuous months until end then she plunges into the depths of complete darkness 24 hours a day for the next freezing cold 6 months. I infusing the canvas with texture the result is a composition that resonates with the raw beauty and untamed spirit of the Arctic wilderness, capturing the elusive magic that draws me back time and again.

One of the highlights for me is visiting the beautiful island of SOROYA Norway the reindeers roam freely mingling with locals and visitors they feast during the summer months and swim back to the mainland before the island plunges into the dark cold winter .The Reindeers main cause of death is starvation during the winter food is so scarce they are to weak to make the return swim so the local round them up into trailers and put them on the ferry back to the island to feed for 6 months during midnight sun white nights . There are approximately 6000 reindeers on the island of Soroya.
I hope you enjoy this art piece as much as i enjoyed reminiscing whilst i painted.
