Spring in Reykjavik Iceland
Iceland is a land of bitter cold winters, roaring winds across the flat terrain and 20 hours of darkness. The daylight hours approximately last from 11am to 3pm and temperatures between -30 to -35 with the coldest temperature recorded at -39.5. Then comes the midnight sun which never quite sets and it brings an explosion of colour as the wildflowers take over the rugged landscape. I painted this art piece during my visit to Iceland.
